The Boondock Saints 2 (All Saints Day)

10 years after the initial release of the Boston cult classic The Boondock Saints, the sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is set for theatrical release 10-30-09.

“The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is the sequel to the cult classic The Boondock Saints. It continues writer and director Troy Duffy’s saga of fraternal twins, the MacManus brothers. The two have been in deep hiding in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former lives or modern technologies. When word comes that a priest has been killed by sinister forces in the tough underworld of Boston (the Yakavetta Crime Family), they return to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those who must now suffer the consequences, with a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins Jr.) aiding them and FBI Agent Paul Smecker’s Protege (Julie Benz) in pursuit of them.”

The only negative to this sequel is the lack of Willem Dafoe, however newcomers Julie Benz, Judd Nelson, Peter Fonda, & Clifton Collins Jr. should easily makeup for the void left by Willem Dafoe. For those not familiar with The Boondock Saints, take a minute and enjoy the clip from the first film featuring the MacManus Brothers and the Funny Man, David Della Rocca.

A Tribute To Roc (DJ Manipulator)

tributetoroc1-375x375

On September 19th we lost one of the most talented, influential, and inspirational DJ’s of all time. Roc Raida of the X-Ecutioners. He was such a huge influence on me and the way I approached DJing. I remember when I was starting out in high school I used to watch his and the rest of the X-Men’s routines on DMC dvds  over and over again, studying his body tricks(which i still cant do to this day),and the way he would juggle the records. It was incredible to watch him.  You could tell the he was really dedicated to his craft. So I took sometime out to send a salute to the legend cause he inspired me to do what I do on the tables today. Rest in Peace Roc Raida, your contribution to the artform will never be forgotten.

Snuggie

snuggie Niggas look like monks bee -Av

I was awake at 3am last night and i realized sometimes you come across commercial that either make outrageous claims or that are just ridiculous. Remember Cleo the Jamaican Psychic ?? or how about the partyline girls dancing to their special song “CALL ME, pick up the phooooooonnnnneeeee”. Well on yet another sleepless night I came across a commercial that I originally thought was a parody until they put the company number and order info on the screen. It’s 2009 and the Snuggie has officially taken over , it has been on the Ellen Degeneres show and has a bunch of parody spin-offs. I think the original commercial is too funny to even make a parody of, watch how happy dad is when he clicks channels on the remote and how he raises the roof with ease at the end of the clip , lol funniest shit I seen all week THANKS SNUGGIE !!

The Moody Blues – Nights in White Satin

Moody-Blues-Days-Of-Future-Pa-181082

After my parents would argue my pops would always lock himself away, he lived a very hard life. This man was paramount to me, his movements, his focus, these things are instilled deep within me now. He would lite up his joint, twist the cap off his High Life and play his records. Not many people knew how deeply my father loved music, he was a very cultured man. The Moody Blues was a group he was very fond of, especially the song  Nights in White Satin.  It’s funny how a song can bring back certain memories vividly, this song for me makes me think of my father, my father rolling up, my father trying to ease the pain.

50 Cent Rushed To Hospital After Listening To Fat Joe

Mr. Gimmick is back at it, at least this time it’s funny though.

“This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe’s new album, “J.O.S.E. 2″ when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 PM.
Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.”
