King James to be Crowned 2009 NBA MVP

LeBron James beat out Dwayne Wade & Kobe Bryant for a well-deserved first MVP award for his 2009 season.  At 24, LeBron is the youngest MVP candidate since Moses Malone did so in 1979.  James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a team-record 66 wins this season and the best overall record in the NBA.  Lebron will accept the award this afternoon at his Alma-matter St. Mary’s High School in Akron Ohio.  Averaging 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game, Lebron James will be the first ever Cavalier to win this prestigious award.  After sweeping their Eastern Conference rivals the Detroit Pistons in the first round, LeBron and the Cavaliers look to do more of the same against a tougher upstart Atlanta Hawks team in the second round begining  Tuesday evening.

In The Shadow Of A Giant

Sam Bowie will forever be known as the player drafted above Michael Jordan, and also one of the biggest bust. Sam was the logical pick for Portland no doubt, I mean they did draft a guard the previous year (Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler). Bowie averaged 10.5 ppg with the Trail Blazers but was injury prone so they traded him to New Jersey. In the shadow of the greatest NBA player of all time is there really anything that Sam could have done to shed more light onto himself??? Sadly I think not, it will go down as one of Portland’s biggest mistakes not drafting Jordan and we all remember when Jordan showed them why with his outstanding performance in the 1992 NBA Finals. 20042425_0c40bf9504mj_air_jordan_i

It Was 1989

The 1st picture is banned from Cleveland I believe but cherished in Chicago as one of the most celebrated moments in the history of “Jordan”. It was the 1989 Playoffs where this shot took place; Craig was actually having a pretty good game until the great one ended it all in stunning fashion with a shot over him from the foul line. When Michael placed that shot it seemed as if time froze and he stood in the air long enough to snap his wrist perfectly and release the final dagger into the Cleveland Cavs. Ehlo collapsed as if to say “what more could I have done??” NOTHING EHLO, There was nothing no one could have done.

Watch the classic shot

And He Named Him “Jordan”

Ye as he rose above the children in there jubilee, thou was propelled to new heights man has never seen. For our father knew greatness and thou named him “Jordan”.
