N.O.R.E. interviews Benzino

“You blog too much homey”Benzino on Budden

Benzino speaks on Jay-Z & XXL biting Notorious B.I.G. & The Source, Kim Osario, how Slaughterhouse is overrated, Joe Budden blogging too much, and most importantly about Edo G  joining the Made Men.  The whole feud with Joe Budden shouldn’t be much of a surprise seeing that Edo G banned Joey a few months back from Boston and to my knowledge he hasn’t been back since.  http://hulkhatetimetravel.com/2009/03/07/joe-budden-banned-in-boston/  Seems like everyone is going at Joe Budden, I honestly feel bad for dude, yesterday MC Shan, today Benzino, wonder who will speak up tomorrow.

HHTT @ Lucky Dog May 8th (Worcester)

dj shamenite people sequelnytmare lean back

Friday May 8th showcased some of Worcester best in Hip hop and HHTT was on the front lines. Its always good to see cats repping the city and even better when done correctly. DJ Shame started the night off right with some bangers, bringing that gritty mid 90’s sound back for the masses. You know HHTT got love for that era so when he dropped ArtifcatsWrong Side Of Da Tracks, Rev and I just looked at each other and nodded in approval. B – boys even got into the mix, tearing up the floor to classic tracks turning the night into a true hip hop affair. Nite People came on stage and wrecked shop, From start to finish they kept the crowd at attention. Ethereal is one of the sickest mc’s to grip the mic, its not just his wordplay its the complexity in which he delivers it that intrigues me. Following right after was Nytmare with machine gun flow intact. Nytmare is one of those  mc’s that have a flow you cannot deny, once the beat drops he attacks it relentlessly like a savage . On stage he did the same, slaughtering every beat placed before him. All around it was a good night, had a few drinks, heard some good music and met some good peoples.  HHTT WAS IN THE BUILDING!

HHTT Returns to Barnes & Noble (Worcester)

The Polo boys go back to Barnes & Noble to do it right. Barnes & Noble provides an excellent atmosphere to work and also play a little. This is one of HHTT’s first meeting spots, and you never forget where you started. The vibe at Barnes is very laid back and relaxing, I personally dig it because the staff lets us run free in that bitch! HHTT has a deep love for literature and it’s only proper we showcase one of Worcester’s top book stores. Sometimes you have to drop the remote and pick up a book, real talk.

RUN DMC inducted to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Man I’m so grateful I got to see all three of them live back in 99 at the Worcester Centrum and I’m definitely gonna be DMC for Halloween this year.  Eminem welcomed the duo into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night (april 4th)

Run DMC has so many hits it’s difficult to narrow it down but if you turn this one up to ten, I’m sure you will agree this might be the hardest record ever.  Rock Box is from Run DMC’s first and self-titled album back in 1984

Beats to the Rhyme is taken from 88’s Tougher Than Leather and features the Beastie Boys own DJ Hurricane jumping around with Jam Master Jay behind the turntables.

Goddamn that DJ made my day.

Bobbito.

Whether it’s Dj cucumber slice, make it happen, bag of tricks, the barber or kool rob love, Bobbito Garcia has been doing his thang for a hot minute now.  Along with DJ Stretch Armstrong on Columbia University’s WKCR 89.9FM they were voted best hip-hop radio show of all time by the source back when they were still credible in 98.

Bobbito is also an accomplished ball player in his native New York, peep his Make it Happen the freestyle file

Bob also hosted ESPN’s It’s The Shoes and was featured in the documentary film Just for Kicks  below is a clip from his show on ESPN.

My Boston – Big Shug

My Boston is produced by the legendary Dj Premier, boasts additional verses by Singapore Kane & Termanology and has Big Shug singing on the hook as he has been doing more and more as of late.   This is no doubt a constant head-nodding track by the Gangstarr foundation representative.  This is off of Big Shug’s third solo album  Otherside of the Game which was released in November, put them 3’s up.  Download/Stream–>http://www.zshare.net/audio/629738633989f112/
