Lupe Fiasco – The Coolest

darthfiasco

Lupe is one of those MC’s you can’t deny. In my opinion The Cool was an underrated album which delivered many memorable classics. The title song itself is one my favorites, Lupe tells the story of “cool” in the most poetic fashion possible over a beat that sounds as if it was to be the opening to a epic. Do you still wanna be cool? HHTT APPROVED Listen to Lupe Fiasco – The Coolest

Method Man – The Riddler

riddler00_-_METHOD_MAN_-_THE_RIDDLER_(12'')_(FRONT)-1995-SPRiTE

1995 once again in this bitch! Not many people remember this but Mr. Mef did a track for one of the Batman movies, the movie I can care less about but the song was called The Riddler and its Mef at his finest. Rza provided Method with a chilling beat and he did more than rip it he shredded that shit. MeThod Man – The RiddLer

Wait Your Turn – B.O.B.

Not brand new, but still new music from B.O.B. off of his Who the Fuck is B.O.B? mixtape.  I wouldn’t be surprised if  Wait Your Turn actually turned up on his debut album on Grand Hustle The Adventures of B.O.B.

Manifest Destiny (Blood by Expansion)

american_progress

America has always had the belief to expand to the west by any means necessary. America therefore embraced the manifest destiny idea; some so wild even to include the total absorption of all North America. Advocates believe this is good and used “Manifest Destiny” to justify the move and slaughter of indigenous people. The term was first thrown around in the 1840’s to promote the annexation of the Western U.S. What gets me is how Americans moved to a land not of there own, set a flag in the ground and decided it was destiny to push all those off the land by force (if needed) to expand. The slaughter of the Indigenous people is one of the biggest tragedies in American history that is never fully explained in history books or after school specials. I know there are some who will go with the religious side of the doctrine, saying that it is our duty to enlighten the world with Christ and all that, but to me its simply blood by expansion. The slaughter and movement of Native Americans onto reservations reached its height in the late 19th century. The government intended to destroy tribal governments and break up Indian reservations under the progressive Manifest Destiny Doctrine. The pure arrogance of this doctrine was embodied in Albert T. Beveridge when he spoke before the senate.

God has not been preparing the English-speaking and Tectonic peoples for a thousand years for nothing but vain and idle self-admiration. No! He has made us the master organizers of the world to establish system where chaos reigns… He has made us adepts in government that we may administer government among savages and senile peoples. Theodore Roosevelt, John Cabot Lodge, and John Hay, each in turn, endorsed with a strong sense of certainty the view that the Anglo-Saxon [Americans] was destined to rule the world. Such views expressed in the 19th century and in the early 20th century continues to ring true in the minds of many non-Indian property owners. The superiority of the “white race” is the foundation on which the Anti-Indian Movement organizers and right-wing helpers rest their efforts to dismember Indian tribes.”

And for those holier than thou, justify this.
