“MIAMI (CBS4) ― Nearly $9 million worth of marijuana won’t make it to the streets of South Florida following a drug sweep in Miami-Dade County.”Miami police teamed up with the DEA for “Operation Growing Pans” which focused on numerous hydroponics labs. The two agencies took down 36 ‘grow houses’ and made 39 arrests. Over 1500 plants were confiscated that equaled more than 2 thousand pounds of trees, street value = 9 million! Off the bat we all know Rick Ross was not involved in this matter in anyway he was a outstanding C.O. and does rap music now.
They need to legalize this drug already, I know doctors, lawyers, swimmers, and a president who blazed and they doing ok for themselves! Now one must only wonder how much a ounce is gonna go up now.

“Strange Fruit” referenced in the song are the bodies of African Americans hanged during lynching. This song sung by the late Billie Holiday was as tragic as it was inspirational. Every time I hear this song my throat starts to get that lump in it, memories of times a lot of us don’t want to remember. I love this song; it is a testament that no matter how ill the situation injustice will not go unnoticed. We are a strong people we have overcome the highest of the hurdles. Those brave individuals who were hung in lynches during that time will not be forgotten. The beautiful fruit that grows in the south a lot of times is not all beautiful as it may seem. “Strange Fruit” would end up being Holidays biggest record and as many recalled she would break down every time she sang it.
I don’t remember a lot of fond memories of my childhood but I do remember some. My father the greatest man I ever met loved basketball and that reciprocated to me. In the early 90’s when the NBA left CBS to NBC many didn’t think the move was right. That was clearly wrong, the NBA never seen revenue like they did from 1990-2002 the span in which NBA on NBC lasted. The way Bob Costas did the intro for games, the overview of the skyline outside the arena, Marv Albert quotes, it was beautiful. I watched Jordan clinch many a playoff berth, I watched Clyde finally validate his greatness and I seen Kobe 3peat. I know cats are like what about SHAQ!!! He sick also but these are some of my memories and I do agree SHAQ is sick! I think back to Sundays with my pops watching triple headers, him with his Miller high life me with my Kool-aid. Just listen to the theme shits nostalgic like a muthafucka!
