Dwayne Wade 2009 MVP

This season Dwayne Wade is averaging a league leading 29.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game.  The Miami Heat are currently 5 games over 500 at 37-32 and should be the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference come playoff time.  Last year with D-Wade unhealthy the Heat only won 15 games.  This summer at the Olympic Games in China, Wade led the team in scoring to help team USA win back the Gold Medal.  Now I know the media stays on Kobe and Lebron’s dick (rightfully so), but I ask you, have Kobe or Lebron done this?!!!??!

#7 Kevin Johnson KJ

Before…..

  and After

During the media-swirl of the high-profile election year NBA great Kevin Johnson  was elected Mayor of Sacramento California.  Kevin was born and raised in Sacramento and attended UCal Berkeley.  KJ is from the golden era of the NBA, he ran the point for the Phoenix Suns from 88 untill 98, an all-star and a 20 point 10 assist a night type of player.  Along with Sir Charles Barkley led the Suns to the Finals in 1993 against the unstoppable Bulls led by Michael Jordan who had a date with destiny that year for their 3-peat.  What I remember #7 for is his dunk over Hakeem Olajuwan in the 1994 playoffs against the Houston Rockets which you can view up above and of course his highlight reel.  You can’t tell me you don’t want a KJ suns throwback for the summer time

Banner 17

Man can’t lie June 17th 2008 was a happy day for me, the Celtics won their 17th championship.  I rioted in the streets near the TD Banknorth Garden, took pictures in front of Riot police, and literally chased the Lakers bus from Government Center to the Statehouse. (don’t believe me?  In Dunn Dunn Shawty Lo fashion: ask Sean-o, Michael,  yung Yavid, Andy, or Joey yeeeeeeaa)  Below is me overlooking Quincy Market rocking the lucky #17 John Havlicek jersey on the historic evening.

Tuesday Night the Boston Celtics will raise their 17th World Championship Banner to the rafters above the New Garden, as the NBA kicks off the season in Boston with Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the defending champion Boston Celtics.
