Onion Head – Sean Price feat. Tek

I honestly feel bad for people who slept on Sean Price/Ruck’s  Monkey Barz, the album dropped kind of unexpectedly about four years ago now in 2005.  Before that the most recent thing he released was the Boot Camp Click album (The Chosen Few) in 02 and a couple sporadic joints with Agallah.  Lately Sean Price has been busy working with Guilty Simpson and Black Milk for a collaborative album, as well as releasing D.I.R.T. with longtime partner Rock last year.  For Onion Head Sean P gets production from Khrysis of the Justus League and Tek from Smiff N Wessun on the chorus.

FAB 5 – Lefluar Leflah Eshkoshka

FAB 5

I can remember countless conversations with Brotha Men back in ’95/’96 where we broke down the best cliks of that time trying to decide who was the top undisputed king of the cliks. See back then, every one was in a clik; you had the BOOT CAMP CLIK, ONYX, FLIPMODE SQUAD, THE FIRM,DEF SQUAD, WU TANG CLAN, LOST BOYZ etc. We spent so many summer afternoons going back and forth about who was the best and why. Ultimately WU TANG had the stamina to shine through but back in ’95 it was definately a toss up. And I have to say for a short time  FAB 5 and the entire BCC (Boot Camp Clik) def was on top mainly because of the charisma HELTAH SKELTAH brought to the group. Ruck & Rock was rippin shit up in ’95/96 and Ruckus a.k.a. Sean Price continues to rip tracks to this day. You already know my man Rev knows all about the BCC so be sure to check his post on the OGC (Originoo Gunn Clappaz) cuz you know Rev always posts proper  http://hulkhatetimetravel.com/2008/10/17/no-fear-ogc/ . Take a listen and enjoy a couple of my favorite tracks from the FAB 5 and HELTAH SKELTAH.
