“When da east is in the house you should come up quick”

1994 deserves just as much respect as ‘95 in my opinion, the music was a lil darker but still as dope. This is my older brothers shit once again, I can think back looking at the cover in amazement. I put on the DJ Premier laced track “Come Clean” and almost broke my neck! I must have played that track 40 times while dubbing it on tape with the tissue paper in the top holes (thats how we made tapes back in 95, Lex know!). Then when the video emerged it was over, the water torture scene!! C’mon! peep this classic HHTT ‘94 bee Yo Charles, this ones for you. I must also note the impact of The Sun Rises in the East at the time, the shit was revolutionary and some of Jeru’s best work ever.Jeru The Damaja – Come Clean

Danger – Blahzay Blahzay

PF Cuttin cutting up ODB, Q-tip & Jeru da Damaja for the chorus, Out Loud with that rugged ass voice, plus sampling one of my personal all-time favorite forgotten soul tracks (Gwen McCrae’s Rockin Chair) it’s a no brainer, Blahzay Blahzay’s Danger is vintage New York rap at it’s finest.  Coming fully equipped with Philly Blunts, razors under the tongue, timberland boots and even a few cameos, The video for Danger serves as a time-capsule to 1995 Brooklyn.
