Lola Falana

My dad would always treasure his JET magazine with Lola Falana, he had a thing for the redbone and I could dig that major! Lola was born Loletha Elaine Falana to a Cuban father and an African-American mother, which explains her beautiful complexion. Discovered by Sammy Davis Jr.  Lola was the triple threat in the 70’s she could sing, dance and act and was referred to by many as the queen of Las Vegas. Her eyes are what gets me the most………She’s Dope b.

D-Nice – They Call Me D-Nice (BDP Live On)

Taking out you suckas and you don’t know how I did it!

One of my biggest influences in the game hands down is the TR-808 aka D-Nice. D had the swag fo real b, he had that cool flow. Working on new music makes me realize how much I want to honor cats like D-Nice. A lot of my style is from this man right here, what they taught I learned b.D-Nice Rocks The House is the prequel to They Call Me D-Nice, teaming  a young Nice up with Scott La Rock which would eventually be the ticket to Nice landing his solo deal. Scott La Rock  helped D develop his skill and would serve as a mentor/brother/friend up until his tragic passing in ’87.Peep a young D-Nice, KRS-ONE and DJ Scott La Rock (BDP) Circa ’86BDP Live on RIP Scott La Rock

Benzino Vs. Slaughterhouse

A lil while back Rev posted a interview with Benzino where he was speaking on Slaughterhouse. In the interview Benzino stated how he felt about all the love the new group Slaughterhouse has been receiving and how he thought most of it was hype.  Fast forward to now, as many of you may know all this shit has turned into the “new beef”  and many videos have been posted. HHTT is not here to take sides in this shit cause we fuck with Benzino we from Worcester we got love for Bean, and we fuck with Slaughterhouse we respect they movement. But you gotta admit all this shit is damn funny bee!

HHTT Productions Vol.II (Do Work/When The Lights Go Down)

I have to say thanks to all who support the movement which is HHTT, we doing this for you. HHTT Productions has been doing very well and gaining great momentum and for that we keep the ball rolling with 2 new vids from the studio. T.O.D. is my brother and one of the realest dudes I know, straight up. T speaks on hustling, working for yours and being locked down. In all seriousness When The Lights Go Down is my favorite in this volume, you see the making of a beat and hear the true inspiration behind it. HHTT APPROVED.

Artifacts – Wrong Side Of Da Tracks

1994

artifacts

Here is a track I will never forget, its from the group Artifacts and the song is Wrong Side Of Da Tracks. The beat is a bass filled smooth melody that is as rugged as hell but still maintains its smoothness. Artifacts was El Da Sensei and Tame One both from Newark, this track was there homage to graffiti which in my opinion is a damn good tribute. When I first started rapping this would be one of the beats everyone jumped on, T.O.D. and I filled notebooks to this shit right here. Download Artifacts – Wrong Side Of Da Tracks

Obama Fried Chicken

popeyes_obamaobamafriedchicken-480

“Two thighs free with stimulus check”

In Brooklyn and Manhattan 2 fast food chicken joints changed there names to “Obama Friend Chicken. Alot of folks are bitching saying the name change plays into old racial stereotypes. “Why name it that? Just because Obama is black, they’re going to put his name on a fried chicken place in a black neighborhood?” said Akilah Nassy, 16, outside the Brooklyn store.

“If it were [Republican candidate John] McCain, nobody would make a McCain fried chicken place.”

OF COURSE NOT MCCAIN IS WHITE! Plus McCain chicken would be all the old pieces, with meat hanging off the bone (true to form I guess lol). Sometimes I think blacks just be looking for shit to start, Obama fried chicken sound mighty good to me! People think since Obama president he don’t fuck with black shit no more, he a nigger. He drinks his malt liquor, smoke and eats his chicken dyed and fried like the rest.
