Broke/G.R.E.E.D.Y. – E The Real

The first single from E The Real’s upcoming The Wall Street Project, Broke and the accompanying B-Side G.R.E.E.D.Y. (Gold, Respect, Ego, Envy, Dollars, Youth) featuring Timmy Wiggins.  Both song are produced by Kinda Dusty’s own Paul Mighty, stay tuned for more from this one.

“With this project, E takes the idea of a “concept album” to a new level, breaking down the American business world and it’s influence on our culture. Greed, competition, and loyalty are just a few of the themes that E touches on. In the Hip Hop world, artists are now business men and take on many responsibilities in order to succeed. E draws the connections between Hip-Hop and Wall Street through his new album.” –Kinda Dusty

Recognizing Real – E The Real

The folks over at the Butcher’s Block and Nite People frontman E The Real recently collaborated on a digi EP called Recognizing Real.  With production handled by Paul Mighty, Frank the Butcher & DJ Manipulator on The Countdown

“I love Clark Wallabees. I have a few selective pairs which I’ve kept in amazing condition over the years. My oldest and favorite pair are my suede brown Wallys. I have been wearing them for 10+ years. One day at work I found myself staring at my shoes drifting off into memory lane. I couldn’t help but think about all the places I’ve been wearing this one pair of Wallys. Naturally it inspired a rhyme. Then all of a sudden the rhyme took a new direction. Since I mentioned the number 10 in the first two bars, I decided I was going to countdown from 10 to 1. With this basic format intact, it allowed me to talk about a variety of topics. Usually I stick to a specific concept when writing. What made this track interesting was I had a specific concept and I was able to talk about things that didn’t necessarily have anything to do with each other.” -E The Real

Small Talk/Keys to Success – E The Real & Paul Mighty

Remember the days when underground Hip Hop singles were found only on vinyl? The classic 12 inch format with an A side and a B side.  Dirty versions to blast through your stereo, clean versions for your mom’s favorite radio station, instrumentals for Emcees to rock over, and acapellas for DJs to cut and mix.  We miss those days too!

For all the Hip Hop nostalgics, http://sociallightsounds.com/new/  and http://butchersblocktv.com/ have teamed up to release an exclusive “Digital 12 Inch” as a Free Download.  It features three new tracks from Nite People’s lead vocalist E The Real and Massachusetts producer Paul Mighty.  This release includes everything you would expect from a 12 inch single on vinyl.  Instrumentals, acapellas, dirty, and clean versions.

Agent Orange – Cage

Cage released the underground classic Agent Orange produced by Necro back in 97.  Off the strength of that 12′ Cage eventually dropped Movies for the Blind(2002) on Eastern Conference, Hell’s Winter(2005) and earlier this month (7/7/09) Depart From Me on Definitive Jux.  Cage has undergone quite the evolution as an artist over the past decade as his newest effort Depart From Me sounds nothing like that of the old Cage.Download/Stream–>http://www.zshare.net/audio/632603652392aa6d/

Consequently Cage will be performing on the final leg of his Depart From Me tour this Friday on Brighton Ave in Allston at Harper’s Ferry with helpout from Yak Ballz and HHTT extended family members the Nite People.  If you are in the area this Friday make sure to check them out.
