Written and directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby,Carie-Ann Moss as Natalie and Joe Pantoliano as Teddy. Not many movies made these days grip you and captivate you they way memento can. Honestly this movie is one of the sickest movies I’ve ever saw. From the opening scene to just the plot itself, this movie is film-making genius. This movie is a masterpiece in the sense that it let’s you figure it out. I can always appreciate a movie that doesn’t insult my intelligence. It leaves you to put things together but it doesn’t make it impossible to figure out either. Ok the movie goes like this,Leonard Shelby, a former insurance fraud investigator is searching for the man he believes raped and killed his wife during a burglary. But Leonard suffers from antero-grade amnesia, which is basically short-term memory loss. The events unfold in 2 separate alternating narratives; one in black in white that goes in chronological order.  And the one in color consists of investigation sequences in reverse chronological order. Each color sequence begins with leonard forgetting where he was and what he was doing. The movies’ end sequence merges the narratives which make for one of the most rewarding endings you’ll ever see. With twists and turns along the way MEMENTO makes for an ultimate cerebral rollercoaster.
