HHTT Productions: Tony Velez 91.3 Premiere

T has been on a roll linking up with new talent around the city and recently he linked up with someone from our stomping grounds. Tony Velez is the newest addition to the HHTT Productions Fam haling from the Mainsouth area of Worcester. When I first heard Tony spit it was in Da’Kitchen when T let me peep a verse he just laid down. T told me I would relate to him right away and I have deeply, expect more from Tony with HHTT Productions. H2T2

Now we here at Hulk Hate Time Travel have been bringing you short documentaries of ,well basically, how we live. And in this video we again do just that. We aren’t here to “sugar coat” anything we are here to give you the real…and you can deal with it how you like. So here we go on a cruise through mainsouth Worcester on a Saturday afternoon. Honestly you never know whats going to happen on any given HHTT meet so you can be assured that BIG LEX is probably gonna have a lil surprise in store for us. So let us watch and see what its like on mainsouth and like those great 80’s cartoons we all miss and love I will leave you with an educational message; WINNERS DON’T DO DRUGS..(and my personal favorite, thank you Nancy) REMEMBER TO “JUST SAY NO“…Now see how we live.(we here at hulkhatetimetravel.com do not promote, condone or incourage any illegal drug use)

Drug Dealer, Drug Dealer – Brother Menelik (AV)

“Got a gun named Mandela and the clip full Nelson/ Scope from the soviets, we call it Boris Yeltsin”

Drug Dealer, Drug Dealer is a throwback to another era the wally era if you will, one that is fond to everyone here at HHTT (H2T2) and is often romanticized about when we  build.  We are all true 80’s babies who came of age in the late 80’s/early 90’s and we were all sponges keeping our mouths shut while our ears and eyes stayed wide open, taking it all in.  Av (Brother Menelik) was no exception, coming up in certain sections of Worcester this song was and still is his reality, bowdown to the Main South King, Brother Menelik.

I never thought I would be here reminiscing with ya’ll about my youth and where I came from, but damn I never thought I would see 21. Lex and I grew up on 91 Murray Ave in Worcester, Ma, the main south area. We didn’t live in the worst conditions but damn shit wasn’t sweet, drug dealers, prostitutes, feens etc all could be found on our block. We both lived in the Buckingham building on Murray Ave, I on the 5th Floor and Lex on the 1st.  This is my hood and I love where I grew up, when I speak of the “pissy” hallways and broke elevators its all love to my hood. Worcester is a funny place, you got ya gritty spots then beautiful, crack dealers on one side doctors on the other. This is where I’m from and I wouldn’t want it any different. Peace to GBV, Grafton, Plum, Lakeside, Mainsouth, Lincoln Vill, Moutain Vill, Eastern Ave, Upland Gardens, Washington Heights, North High, Burncoat, South, Doherty, Forest Grove, Downtown, Chandler, Newbury, Wellington, Hooper, Belmont, Vernon, Green Hill and any spots I left out.

WCUW 91.3 Worcester

WCUW 91.3 is a local radio station in Worcester, MA which provides a unique mix of musical genres, from rock, jazz, blues, folk hip-hop etc. WCUW is a station for the people by the people, I support local radio because as a MC, WCUW was warm and welcoming and provided an outlet for local artists to showcase there music, thoughts and ideas. I remember when T.O.D. and I finished the album “Description of Wor” a few years back, we met up with Frank the Butcher and that lead to us to meeting Tone and that lead to getting our tracks played on air. As a MC who faced a lot of adversity, it was good to see there were people who support the local scene and wanted to see it flourish. That experience alone caused me to be more aware and supportive of my city, especially the music scene.

Linving in Worcester you see a lot of diversity, and WCUW embraces that.
