Boardwalk Empire (Trailer)

We all know no one can hold a candle to HBO programming, the network is responsible for such shows as The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage & The Sopranos.  This Fall, Boardwalk Empire will debut on HBO.  The show will be based on the book The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City by Nelson Johnson.  The book will be adapted by screenwriter and producer (former writer & director of The Sopranos) Terrence Winter.  Furthermore, the pilot episode was directed by Martin Scorcese who will be heavily involved in the project throughout.  New faces to HBO drama Michael Pitt & Kelly MacDonald will join forces with some familiar ones in Steve Buscemi (Tony Blundetto The Sopranos) & Michael K. Williams (Omar from the Wire).  Fall is a whole summer away but at least we have Boardwalk Empire to look forward to, enjoy the trailer.

The Road (Trailer)

If you enjoyed No Country For Old Men, more than likely your going to want to see The Road.  Both wrote by Cormac McCarthy who won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for The Road.  As long as director John Hillcoat sticks to the script of the novel he can’t go wrong. (ask Joel and Ethan Cohen who won four Oscars from No Country for Old Men by doing just that)  The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Guy Pearce, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron and Michael K.(Omar from the Wire)Williams.  The Road is set for release October 16th 2009, enjoy the trailer in the meantime.
