King James to be Crowned 2009 NBA MVP

LeBron James beat out Dwayne Wade & Kobe Bryant for a well-deserved first MVP award for his 2009 season.  At 24, LeBron is the youngest MVP candidate since Moses Malone did so in 1979.  James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a team-record 66 wins this season and the best overall record in the NBA.  Lebron will accept the award this afternoon at his Alma-matter St. Mary’s High School in Akron Ohio.  Averaging 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game, Lebron James will be the first ever Cavalier to win this prestigious award.  After sweeping their Eastern Conference rivals the Detroit Pistons in the first round, LeBron and the Cavaliers look to do more of the same against a tougher upstart Atlanta Hawks team in the second round begining  Tuesday evening.

Dwayne Wade 2009 MVP

This season Dwayne Wade is averaging a league leading 29.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game.  The Miami Heat are currently 5 games over 500 at 37-32 and should be the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference come playoff time.  Last year with D-Wade unhealthy the Heat only won 15 games.  This summer at the Olympic Games in China, Wade led the team in scoring to help team USA win back the Gold Medal.  Now I know the media stays on Kobe and Lebron’s dick (rightfully so), but I ask you, have Kobe or Lebron done this?!!!??!

Dustin Pedroia 2008 A.L. MVP

Dustin Pedroia was awarded the American League’s Most Valuable Player award on tuesday November 18th.  Dustin got it done on the field winning a golden glove at second base, as well as behind the plate bolstering a .326 batting average, 17 HRs, 83RBIs and 20 stolen bases, he also led the league in doubles(54) and runs scored (118).  At the age of 25 Dustin Pedroia has won the Rookie of the Year, MVP, golden glove award and most importantly a world series with the Boston Red Sox in 2007 not alot of people can say that.

Allen Iverson heading to Detroit

NBA superstar Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets it seems will be traded to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio Mcdyess.  The Pistons already had a talented backcourt with Billups and Richard Hamilton, with the addition of A.I. the Pistons may have the most explosive backcourt in the league.  The Nuggets will gain a more “true” point guard with former NBA finals MVP Chauncey Billups and also Mcdyess can fill the void left by Marcus Camby who was picked up by the L.A. Clippers in the off-season.  This is definately a blockbuster trade pulled off by Joe Dumars only a few games into the season and expect The Pistons to challenge the defending champion Celtics in the East once again this year.
