Well why not, picture the incredible Hulk going through time. I know Doc Strange use to send the Hulk to alternate dimensions in the comics but if Hulk could travel through time, picture all the stuff he would see. Big L passed away 12 years ago today, Big L R.I.P. Check out this classic L did with Fat Joe, Da Enemy produced by DJ Premier which appeared on the D.I.T.C. album as well as Big L’s The Big Picture.
Oasis by D.I.T.C. representatives AG & OC produced by Statik Selektah is the title song to their new album due out November 24th on Nature Sounds. Production on the album will be handled primarily by Lord Finesse, Show & E Blaze. The Oasis – AG & OC
DJ JS-1’s Ground Original 2 : No Sell Out will definitely be one of the few albums I actually buy this year. The double CD drops June 23rd, with disc 2 featuring clean versions and instrumentals for the DJs. Like This features former Main Source MC and producer extraordinaire the Large Professor for the first leak off of DJ JS-1’sNo Sell Out.
Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 will be Fat Joe’s 9th solo album (wow) and is set for a May 19th release date. J.O.S.E. 2 will feature collaborations with Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Ron Browz, Akon, T-Pain, Fabolous and Raekwon. Now all we need is for Joey to hook up with Finesse and Diamond D for a D.I.T.C. reunion album.
Joey Crack hooks up with Dj Infamous for the single Hey Joe, borrowing the title and sample from the classic Jimi Hendrix song. I was always wondering when someone would flip Hey Joe, one of Jimi’s best/gangsta records and it only makes sense that it was Fat Joe.
South Bronx native Party Arty (D.I.T.C. + Ghetto Dwellas) passed away today (12/4/08) from undisclosed health complications. Party Arty always had one of the grimiest/gruffiest/dirtiest voice in the game, he was featured on many of Show & AG’s albums through the 90’s, Big L’s first joint on the track “Da Graveyard” which also featured Hova, Finesse and L, and on all of the D.I.T.C. (Diggin In The Crates) records throughout the years. Below is a truly classic two part video he released along with his Ghetto Dwella partner D-Flow, but for real HipHop has lost a true talent with his passing.
Arty shines on the brutally honest A Look at My Life which was released a few years back by Showbiz on the D.I.T.C. compilation album Street Talk
