Method Man – The Riddler

riddler00_-_METHOD_MAN_-_THE_RIDDLER_(12'')_(FRONT)-1995-SPRiTE

1995 once again in this bitch! Not many people remember this but Mr. Mef did a track for one of the Batman movies, the movie I can care less about but the song was called The Riddler and its Mef at his finest. Rza provided Method with a chilling beat and he did more than rip it he shredded that shit. MeThod Man – The RiddLer

Ol’ Dirty Bastard – Brooklyn Zoo

When I first started to pump Wu I was taken back by ODB. Ol  Dirty was unique and I didn’t understand the brilliance of the man. I can blame it on the fact I was young and thought Meth was the god MC (which he was back then circa 95) but I wont . As I grew older I started to appreciate the gritty unorthodox style of Dirty, one of my top tracks from him is the classic “Brooklyn Zoo”. The grittiness in the video is beautiful, come with me back in time to the Brooklyn Zoo.

Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan

wutangclan_dvd_front

Gerald K. Barclay’s documentary “Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan” will air on BET Nov. 13th, 5 days before the DVD hits stores. This documentary will go deep into the Staten Island group showing pain, success, triumph and tragedy. If you a Wu head like myself you cannot pass this up, I know ima be peeping this classic.

I still think BET is the scourge………but c’mon its Wu!

“We Eat Fish”

My god im shaking as I right this, this track means a lot to me, shit is history. When Ghost released his debut album “Ironman” Wu was already established as a force, off that ghost already had his fan base set. But when Ironman dropped it gained Ghost and fellow wu brother Rae the exposure and respect they deserved and needed. There are many classic cuts on the album but the track I have to say I love most is “Fish”, right when I hear that shit and the beat drops and Ghost like “we eat fish” its done. This track is fucking classic and im glad I can share it with ya’ll.

R.I.P. Dolemite

Oct 20th Comic legend Rudy Ray Moore died of apparent complications due to diabetes. Rudy was raunchier than his counter parts at the time (Richard Pryor and Red Foxx) and released many cult comedy albums though the 60’s and 70’s. The role he will always be remembered for is the titled pimp in the cult classic “Dolemite”. I love that fucking movie, love how he tells the man off, fucks bitches, and lives like a true pimp should. I love the part when he leaves prison and has his bitches bring him clothes and the white bitch brings some cotton and he flips out lol. Dolemite will live on, Many rappers have featured or sampled Rudy Ray Moore which shows his impact was far beyond the bounds of just comedy.
