Roy Jones Jr. Vs Bernard Hopkins

Roy Jones Jr.  (54-6, 40 KOs) and Bernard Hopkins (50-5-1, 32 KOs) will square off in the ring April 3 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas nearly 20 years after Roy Jones Jr. won a close decision over Bernard Hopkins.  Hopkins coming off a couple victories, an impressive win over the talented Kelly Pavlik and a decision against Enrique Ornelas.  Jones Jr. won by TKO over Jeff Lacy but in his last bout Roy was knocked out in the first round by Danny Green.

“They deserve this fight and why not supply the fans with what they demand? Now I can finally terminate the ‘Executioner’ once and for all. My new nickname for this fight will be ‘The Terminator.’ ” – Roy Jones Jr.

“A rematch with Roy has been in the back of my mind for a long time and it’s finally going to happen. I have accomplished a lot in my career since that night in Washington, in 1993, and I am going to end this thing between me and Roy once and for all.” – Hopkins

Teddy Pendegrass 1950 – 2010

Teddy Pendegrass passed away yesterday (1-13-10)  Teddy will always be remembered as the lead singer of Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes as well as his successful solo career after his departure from the group.  Teddy was the King of Philly Soul and helped me seal the deal with a couple over the years, thanks for the help TP may you rest in peace.

2010 NHL Winter Classic – Bruins Vs. Flyers

The Boston Bruins will host the Philadelphia Flyers New Years day at 1:00 at Fenway Park for the NHL’s 2010 Winter Classic.  The event will air on NBC and I strongly suggest if you are conscious after New Years Eve to tune in as it’s shaping up to be quite the game.
