Jay-Z Cuts Deal With Parlux Fragrances

jay-z

Parlux Fragrances has reached an agreement with Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrances, a move that will launch scents for Kanye and Rihanna. With an economy on the rocks, Parlux is banking on celebrity appeal to bang out sales. Parlux plans to release Kanye’s and Rihanna’s scents by 2010. Kanye has hinted his scent will be called Arrogance, nah I’m bugging but I wouldn’t be surprised.kayne-and-riri

Ghostface feat. Beanie Sigel and Styles P – The Barrel Brothers

doe-rehab

The Big Doe Rehab was a very good album from Ghost which produced a lot of solid bangers. One track that I bumped on the regular was “Barrel Brothers” feat Beanie Sigel. The beat is rugged and the video is on that 1995 gangsta shit which really brings me back. This video features Styles P with a quick verse and just adds to the already sick track.

Jay-Z – My President Is Black (Remix)

Jay-Z the god mc has perfect timing with this track, Obama inauguration and all. Peep Jay spit his classic wittiness in true fashion.

Mary J. Blige, Jay-z Accused of Beat Jacking

jay-mary

Mary j and Jay-Z are targets of a federal song swipping suit filed by two New Jersey men. Jermaine Jumpp and Michael Adams accuse famed producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins of stealing there beat that was used for Blige’s “Enough Cryin”.

They claim they sent a CD containing their song to Jerkins back in ‘01 and were stunned when “Enough Cryin” was released in 2005. Jay got a co-writing credit they got shit. No one knows why this is popping up 3 years later, but it must be hard to reach the lawyers of such famous folk.

My focus would be go after Rodney Jerkins hard body, he the producer not Jay and Mary. I can see why to attack them though, Rodney is a famous producer but you get max attention when Jay and Mary on the headline.
