Karl Malone on Magic’s Return to the NBA (’91/92)

Stemming from the great article Magic Retires (1991) written by Lex,  I decided to further touch on the topic.  After the Dream Team run Magic decided he was ready and more than willing to return to the NBA to continue in the sport which he loves so dear. Mind you, not everyone in and around the league were as willing to embrace a man w/ the HIV virus but some were more vocal.

Just Because he came back doesn’t mean anything to me, I’m not no fan or cheerleader. It may be good for basketball but you have to look far beyond that. You have a lot of young men who have a long life ahead of them. The Dream Team was a concept everybody loved. But now we’re back to reality. –Karl Malone

When Sir Charles Barkley was asked how he felt about Magic playing with the virus he said, I was with him all summer and never once thought about it, NEVER!

Now in 1991/92 I can understand Malone’s comments to an extent but I mean c’mon b you played on the Dream Team with this man now you running your mouth about one of the best to ever do it???? I can’t ride with Karl on this one b, I can’t! Karl should have done more research into the virus before opening his mouth and saying shit he obviously know nothing about. So is he saying the Dream Team run was a fluke??? That teams didn’t play the USA hard cause we had a player with the virus?? C’mon b!Karl aint the mailman he pony express…..slow minded muthafucka……..still one of the best PF’s of all time though.

Coach Mike Brown Fired from Cleveland

“Obviously, I was not thrilled to see it, I wonder what you have to do to keep your job — back-to-back 60-win seasons. Our profession is tough”. – Doc Rivers

Cleveland is bugging, for real b. I mean how you fire last years coach of the year, the man with the highest winning percentage in Cavs history! Dan Gilbert the owner of the Cleveland Cavs decided to fire Coach Brown upon the contract deadline and payout the $4.5 to him over next season. The Cavs have become similar to the Mavs in a sense, they can get you 50+ wins in the regular season but in the post season they lose focus. This is proven from what happened last year in the conference finals w/Orlando and again this year in the 2nd round to Boston. Despite adding all-star’s Shaquille O’Neal and Antawn Jamison the Cavs still couldn’t secure the championship, leaving Cleveland fans once again hoping for next year. The Saga of Lebron continues…..

The Saga of Lebron

In the year of our lord Twenty Ten on the 7 month, King James will become a free agent, this is The Saga of Lebron…

July 1st this year may be one of the most important dates in NBA History, the day Lebron James become a free agent. Everywhere on the globe it seems you can hear opinions on Lebron’s future. Rumors have been widespread saying that he may end up anywhere from Portland to LA,  if you ask me, every NBA team wants Lebron and I’m sure soon all will have a rumor or two about his free agency in the next coming weeks. The chance of Lebron leaving Cleveland is very likely, after 6 seasons with no ring he Audi 5K.  This year during the course of the Cavs early playoff exit I witnessed something in Cleveland, something ugly. Fans began to protest about James and his work ethic even going as far as to blast him on local media and other outlets. To me this is foolish knowing the man will be a free agent soon and the fate of the city rest on his shoulders. As the Free Agency draws closer Cleveland has made various attempts in retaining there star, from putting up billboards, original songs etc. but this may be all a little to late. One city that has a prominent eye on Lebron is Chicago. Chicago has a pretty good base already w/ Noah, Deng and Rose and adding Lebron to the equation could only equal success. With the firing of Vinny Del Negro and possible rumors of Phil Jackson coming back to coach, Chicago seems the likely choice.

Dallas and New York have also been very vocal in the Lebron saga but @ HHTT we sticking w/Chicago b!shouts to Chris Broussard of ESPN

Nike (The Human Chain)

If you have ever played a sport and been knocked down, you know the feeling, you know the feeling of being down and searching within yourself for that spark, that spark that will get you back up one more time. It’s what seperates the loser from the winner. Nike has done it again b.Ali In The Jungle – The Hours

Never to Late (Buffalo 24 – New England 25)

Football Season Has Officially Begun!

Bills Patriots Football

Many thought this would be an easy game for the Pats, then again is anything ever easy in the game of football? One thing I love about football is that its unpredictable, the top team last year could be the flop team next year it’s simple as that. Monday night football showcased the Buffalo Bills vs. The New England Patriots; The Bills came out hard with amazing defense rushing Brady at every chance. Watching the game I was kind of shocked to see New England struggle but Brady kept on and started to show signs of his true greatness charging down the field with short passes hitting heavy on the corners. Brady hit Watson with 2 TD passes in the 4th quarter in the span of 1:16, it was truly spectacular! If you didn’t see the game then shame on you, you missed one of the best games this season.
