Planet Hulk

HULK_CVR_102

They sent him to another universe, they tricked him, and they lied to him. They sent him to another world, they claimed he would find peace but instead he found war. Planet Hulk is one of the best graphic novels I have read since the Watchmen, real talk bee! My man Jay let me hold it at work and I fell in love with the story. Basically it involves Reed (Bitch) Richard, Doc Strange, Black Bolt and Ironman. These 4 bitch niggas tricked the Hulk to leave Earth then BOOM sent him to another world where he would become a slave. On the new planet Hulk is very weak and must regain his strength over time, but we all know the angrier Hulk gets the stronger! If you into the graphic novel thing or not, It’s an all around good read. Oh yea IT’S THE HULK BEE!!!! HHTT APPROVEDworld-war-hulk

Dead Presidents

“Hey brotha, you wanna get the mans foot off your kneck?”   this Hughes brothers classic from 1995 follows the life of a young teen graduating from high school ready to face the world during a turbulant vietnam war era. Rather than getting  off on a stereotypically racial standpoint the Hughes brothers focused more on the becoming of a man for young Anthony Curtis(larenz tate). The movie does a good job keeping with the 1960’s and 70’s feel, strongly due to one of the best soundtracks ever made and the simple visuals of classic cars and such. Though the filming can be summed up as average the thing that makes this movie a classic is the dialogue. DP is def the most quotably pleasing movie I have ever seen. Keith David, Chris Tucker, Bokeem Woodbine and even Therance Howard provide some of the best quotes ever. for example Kirby(keith david) has some of the most reusable quotes like “Thats y’alls muthafuckin punkass friend” and “thats uncle sam for ya, money ta boyn(<-thats not a typo thats how he says it lol) bokeem provides my favorite with the powerful”Hey doc Shut the Fuck up ya don’t know shit”and the comical chris tucker; rules one of my favorite seens with the ever so funny”now say some mo shit!! i’ll knock yo ass right back down… fake ass, wannabe preacher, no members havin muthafucka!!!!” ahahaaha oh the laughs. I love this movie hands down. If you haven’t seen it or just haven’t seen it lately… watch it, and see if you dont come away quoting somethin from it…..

this clip contains two of my favorite parts in the whole movie…enjoy

Curtis Mayfield – Right On For The Darkness

curtis may album-back-to-the-world

Dead Presidents may be the first reminder for some of this song but not for me. My father was big on music and would at times lock himself away with a j (blunt) playing classics. This was one of those classics, full of that 70’s soul Curtis speaks with conviction about America, the real America.Curtis Mayfield – Right On For The Darkness

50 Cent Denies Trying To Pay Off Rick Ross

50-cent1

In an interview with radio host Big Boy, Fif took time to deny Ricky’s claim that one of his goons tried to give Ross 500,000 to kill the beef. “I saw that on YouTube,” said Fif, “He made that up — I don’t think anybody interpreted that as if it was true. People looked at that like, ‘Huh? … How much more of a fool can you make of yourself?’ People look at it like, now you can’t take anything from him serious.

Fif said that paying to end a feud is not of his character, he enjoys beef. I agree, 50 is all about war he can’t sell like he used to so he just for drama. I can’t wait to see how Ricky’s Deeper Than Rap will fare under the turbulence. 51434796

Legends Of The Fall

1994_legends_of_the_fall

Legends of the fall is a movie which stars Brad Pitt (Tristan), Anthony Hopkins (Col. Ludlow) and Aidan Quinn (Alfred). The Movie spans the decade before WWI through Prohibition and into the 1930’s. The film revolves around the Ludlow family of Montana, its truly an incredible journey of family altogether. When I first saw this movie I was taken back at first by the cinematography, I mean its ridiculous how the scenery speaks to you. What I also noticed was Brad Pitt’s character Tristan, Tristan was pretty much the center of everything. I’m not gonna let too much about this great flick out but I do want to touch on the ending. This is in my top 5 greatest movie endings of all time, in the final scene a father steps up for his son, then a son steps up for his father and finally a brother who was forgotten returns to step up for both.
Hopefully this epic scene will inspire you to watch this classic.
